PHIC Participates in CHAgives and Giving Tuesday

The Pediatric Health Improvement Coalition for the Tennessee Valley (PHIC) is partnering with Causeway, United Way of Greater Chattanooga, and many other local non-profits on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 to encourage and amplify small acts of kindness through #CHAgives and #GivingTuesday.

Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. On Tuesday, November 29, 2016, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give. #CHAgives is a small but active part of the global #GivingTuesday movement.  Last year, we raised over $100,000 for Chattanooga's nonprofit community in just 24 hours.

The Pediatric Health Improvement Coalition is a non-profit dedicated to ensuring every child in the Tennessee Valley has access to the highest quality healthcare. We partner with families, community groups, schools, healthcare providers, and local businesses to make sure that every child in our community has the resources to have a healthy, happy, and successful life.

Many children in Chattanooga don’t go to the doctor.  We are working to bring quality healthcare resources to where they are most needed – the schools.  We are raising awareness of the barriers to children living a healthy and successful life and bringing groups together to reduce these barriers.  These are not easy topics with simple solutions.  Instead they require an entire community working towards the same goal.

Please join us to come together to give something more to our community.  Thank you for your support!
